ServiceTitan, which builds software platforms used by trades businesses including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors, has partnered with All Within My Hands (AWMH), the nonprofit philanthropic organization created by the members and management of the heavy metal band Metallica, to support workforce education through the Metallica Scholars Initiative. The Glendale, California-based company announced the partnership as part of Power the Nation, its broader initiative dedicated to supporting the people and communities that keep essential trades running.

"The skilled trades are essential to our everyday lives, and their future depends on the next generation of talented professionals," said Vahe Kuzoyan, president and co-founder of ServiceTitan. "By investing in workforce education and creating more pathways into the trades, we can help ensure these careers remain a source of opportunity, innovation, and economic mobility for generations to come. We are proud to partner with All Within My Hands and support the Metallica Scholars Initiative's mission to make that future possible."

Eight Years, More Than 90 Schools

Launched in 2019 in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges, the Metallica Scholars Initiative helps students pursuing careers in the skilled trades gain access to education and training opportunities that lead to meaningful careers and family-sustaining wages. Now in its eighth year, the program supports more than 90 schools nationally, giving ServiceTitan's new partnership an established distribution network of community colleges and training programs to plug into rather than a fledgling initiative still building institutional relationships.

Why a Software Company Is Backing a Music-Industry Charity

The pairing of a trades-software vendor with a heavy-metal band's nonprofit is less incongruous than it might first appear: ServiceTitan's customer base is built entirely on trades businesses, meaning the long-term health of its own market depends directly on a steady pipeline of new technicians entering plumbing, HVAC, and electrical careers. A shrinking or aging technician workforce is a demand-side problem for every ServiceTitan customer, giving the company a direct commercial as well as philanthropic interest in expanding the pool of skilled trades workers nationally.

"One of the greatest opportunities we have is to not only help more people discover the meaningful careers available in the skilled trades, but invite others to share in our passion," said Peter Delgrosso, executive director of All Within My Hands. "We are excited to partner with ServiceTitan and continue building awareness around workforce education and the pathways that lead to long-term success."

How the Partnership Will Work

Together, ServiceTitan and All Within My Hands will work to elevate awareness of workforce education and highlight the rewarding opportunities available across the skilled trades, according to the companies' announcement. The specific scope outlined publicly centers on awareness and promotion of the existing Metallica Scholars Initiative pathways rather than a new, separately branded scholarship program, positioning ServiceTitan as a distribution and marketing partner leveraging its trades-industry customer relationships to reach students and families who might not otherwise encounter the program.

A Charity Built on a No-Overhead Model

Founded in 2017, All Within My Hands is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, fighting hunger, and providing other critical services. Metallica covers all of the foundation's administrative costs directly, meaning 100% of donations go straight to the organizations and programs the foundation supports — a structure the band has used to argue that contributions have outsized impact relative to charities that must cover overhead from donated funds.

To date, All Within My Hands has given $19 million to career and technical education programs through the Metallica Scholars Initiative, $8.8 million to combat food insecurity, and $6.2 million to disaster relief efforts and other critical services worldwide — a track record that gives ServiceTitan a philanthropic partner with an established, audited giving history rather than a new or unproven charitable vehicle.

Part of a Broader Industry Push on Workforce Development

The ServiceTitan-Metallica partnership lands amid a wider wave of trades-industry workforce initiatives in 2026, as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trade associations and vendors alike compete for a shrinking pool of entry-level workers against four-year colleges and other career paths. Pairing a widely recognized entertainment brand with community college-based training programs gives the Metallica Scholars Initiative a recruiting hook — cultural relevance to students who might not otherwise consider the trades — that purely industry-branded workforce campaigns typically lack.

What Happens Next

ServiceTitan and All Within My Hands have not detailed a specific timeline or set of joint activities beyond the initial partnership announcement, but both organizations indicated the collaboration will focus on elevating awareness of workforce education pathways going forward. For the more than 90 schools already participating in the Metallica Scholars Initiative, the ServiceTitan partnership adds a trades-industry-native marketing channel to a program that has already directed $19 million toward career and technical education since 2019, potentially expanding its reach into the contractor and technician communities ServiceTitan already serves through its software platform.
