Modine is doubling part of its U.S. cooling supply chain.

The company is adding a fully automated microchannel ElectroFin coating line at its Jacksonville, Texas facility.

Modine says the expansion will effectively double the facility's microchannel coating capacity.

That is important because coated heat exchangers sit inside a wide range of cooling equipment where corrosion protection and long operating life are critical.

The expansion also arrives during a much larger growth cycle for Modine's cooling business.

The company has been adding manufacturing capacity and recently announced hundreds of new U.S. positions tied to rising demand for advanced cooling equipment.

Modine's fiscal 2026 Climate Solutions revenue grew 43%, while one of its major cooling businesses exceeded $1.1 billion in annual sales.

The strategic significance is therefore greater than a single manufacturing line.

Modine is simultaneously:

separating nearly $1 billion of noncore operations,

concentrating itself around HVAC and cooling,

expanding U.S. production capacity,

and preparing to deploy more capital into Climate Solutions.

For HVAC suppliers, that shows what happens when demand grows faster than existing manufacturing infrastructure.

Capacity becomes the constraint.

And companies that believe the demand will last start building ahead of it.

For contractors, it can eventually mean more available equipment and shorter lead times.

For competitors, it raises the bar on how quickly they need to add manufacturing capacity of their own.

Modine isn't simply forecasting more cooling demand.

It is physically rebuilding its manufacturing footprint around it.
