F.W. Webb Company opened a new wholesale store and warehouse at 48 South Jefferson Road in Whippany, New Jersey on July 15, 2026, replacing its former Madison, New Jersey location. The 27,000-square-foot facility supplies plumbing, heating, HVACR, industrial, and institutional products to contractors, technicians, and facility operators across the New York metropolitan area.

Why F.W. Webb Chose the Whippany Location

"We searched extensively for the right location and arrived at a property that makes us well positioned to serve the skilled trades in Whippany and the surrounding communities," said Bob Mucciarone, chief operating officer of F.W. Webb. Mucciarone said the larger, upgraded Whippany facility builds on the company's commitment to the New York metro market and is intended to help trade professionals work more efficiently. The site sits near Routes 80, 287, and 10, giving contractors faster access back to jobsites after a supply run.

What the Whippany Store Offers Contractors

The store stocks thousands of products, including multiple piping materials and a full assortment of condenser units, arranged in a self-serve, open-concept layout organized aisle by aisle. New features include will-call ordering by text, phone, or F.W. Webb's mobile app, letting contractors pick up orders quickly. Peter Sramowicz, general manager of the Whippany operation, said the facility is designed to serve customers ranging "from one-van contractors to operators of large facilities." The location is staffed largely by employees transferred from the former Madison store, and F.W. Webb said it will also hire for additional roles as it ramps up.

Hours and Staffing at the New Whippany Facility

Operations manager Ryan Zaborowski and store manager Josh Siemons are leading the Whippany team, which is now serving customers Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Later this year, a Frank Webb Home bath, kitchen, and lighting showroom will open on the same site, replacing the retail portion of the former Madison location and giving homeowners, designers, and contractors access to fully operational fixture and accessory displays.

Part of a Broader Mid-Atlantic Buildout

The Whippany opening extends a run of F.W. Webb expansion across the mid-Atlantic region. Earlier in 2026, the company opened a store in Somerdale, New Jersey, and is also opening a wholesale location in Central Islip, New York. F.W. Webb said it plans to unveil a second central distribution facility in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, next year. The company is also raising its regional profile through partnerships with Madison Square Garden, MetLife Stadium, the New Jersey Devils, the New York Yankees, and New York City FC.

F.W. Webb's Scale Across the Northeast

An industry pioneer dating to 1866, F.W. Webb has grown from a single location to more than 100 across nine states, with an inventory that reaches, in the company's words, "from underground to the rooftop." The company covers 16 areas of trade expertise and operates specialty markets including process controls, water works, and environmental services, alongside 50 Frank Webb Home bath, kitchen, and lighting retail showrooms serving homeowners, designers, and contractors directly.

Why the Whippany Opening Matters to HVAC Distribution

The Whippany store adds to a wave of distributor facility investment in the Northeast as wholesalers compete for contractor loyalty through faster will-call turnaround and broader on-shelf inventory rather than price alone. F.W. Webb is using the buildout, spanning Whippany, Somerdale, Central Islip, and the planned Hazleton distribution center, to reinforce its position as the largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and refrigeration products in the Northeast at a time when regional distributors are racing to add capacity ahead of continued contractor demand growth. The replacement of an older Madison facility with a larger, purpose-built Whippany site also illustrates a broader pattern among regional wholesalers of upgrading legacy branch locations rather than simply adding new ones, betting that a larger single facility with better product availability outperforms maintaining two smaller, older stores in the same general market. Distributors making similar location swaps elsewhere in the Northeast are watching how F.W. Webb balances the wholesale counter with the delayed retail showroom opening, since pairing a trade-focused wholesale store with a separate homeowner-facing showroom on the same property is an increasingly common way to serve both audiences from a single piece of real estate. The staggered opening, with the wholesale side live first and the Frank Webb Home showroom following later in the year, also lets F.W. Webb begin serving contractor customers immediately while construction and merchandising continue on the retail portion of the site.
